A MOVING STORY IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE
So here’s the deal. My wife is so enamored with me and my writings that she occasionally hijacks my stories and posts them on her blog. Of course I’m flattered, but the result is that it benefits her throngs of loyal readers rather than mine (both of them. Hi Mom!). Most men may not feel secure enough to have something they’ve created be presented to millions of moms for their critique and review. But hey, that’s just how I roll. To summarize, the first thing that makes this a moving story is that it was moved to a different location on the Interwebz.
The second thing is simply that the post she “borrowed” was about moving. As in packing one’s belongings into boxes and hauling them from one dwelling to another upon which most will be placed in the garage, basement, or attic never to be used or seen again. Which is why they invented Ikea.
And thirdly, the now-missing post is so touching, so heart-wrenching yet unbelievably inspiring that the story in and of itself is moving. You know, with a small tear trickling from your eye. Like when you saw Top Gun for the first time and Goose didn’t make it back to the ship. That kind of moving.
So if you’re interested in my moving story about moving that was moved, then move your mouse and click on this link. On the other hand, if you’re not interested in moving I will leave you with a picture of this cat as a token of my appreciation. Hopefully you’re not allergic.
I love that your spouse reads your blog AND has her own! How fun is that – my DH reads my posts thru his kindles but has yet to leave a comment! LOL
Now heading over to read this moving story! 🙂
OK, You’re the goods. I’m following your blog now. (And virtual cats are my favorites, followed by the cats that are eaten by dingos.)
Oh, and I think I’ll be meeting your wife in Seattle in June. So soon we’ll all be one big cat loving family.
Oh, oh, oh — AND I met your mother-in-law at the Storytellers conference in February. See? I’m practically living in your basement already.
