HAVE YOU EVER HAD AS MUCH FUN AS A 6TH GRADER?
A few weeks ago I asked my sons what they needed in the way of school supplies. My eighth grader listed the usual things—pencils, notebooks, and hair gel. But my sixth grader insisted he only needed one thing: a barf bag for his math class.
I‘m not much of a math person myself, so I could completely relate. But what I truly appreciated about his request was that he took something that he has literally had nightmares about this summer, and made it into something he could laugh at.
To me, that’s the secret of life—to be able to take a tough situation and somehow have fun with it. Life is full of tough situations, yet somehow some people are able to find the humor, positive spin, or silver lining no matter how hard the challenges may be.
I jog/slog for health, time with friends and to justify a good brunch after!
Cool! 🙂
I would love to join! Sounds like a fantastic experience 🙂
I would love to run the Color Run with my 10 year old son! This would be a blast!
I ran the first SLC Color Run,(actually in Sandy) 2 years ago. Good times. Lots of fun. I’m already committed as a volunteer at a local half marathon on Saturday, but hoping a friend or two might have the good fortune to score an entry. Cheers!
Love the color run! Always willing to run in a fun race 🙂
My life needs more color!
My brother is interested as well!
