SHARP AQUOS: HOW WILL YOU BE WATCHING THE SUPER BOWL?
Unless you’ve been living under a rock—not that there’s anything wrong with living under a rock—you are aware that Super Bowl XLVII takes place this Sunday (that’s Super Bowl 47 for those of you who don’t speak Roman numerals). While ultimately I would be sitting in front of a Sharp Aquos 60” LED Smart TV to watch the game, this year I will be intermittently viewing the festivities from hotel and airport lobbies. I’m not complaining, mind you, because I will have just spent the week in Houston at the 2nd annual Dad 2.0 Summit with a couple hundred of my closest social media dad friends from around the country. And nothing’s better than a party like that.
Plus, the saving grace about missing much of the game is that, as amazing as a Sharp Aquos is for watching the Super Bowl, there will be hundreds of additional opportunities throughout the year to watch sporting events, movies, and new episodes of Downton Abbey Burn Notice. It may not be Ray Lewis crushing his latest victim into the turf, but imagine the excitement and life-like clarity of Mr. Bates plodding up the stairs as he longingly aches for Anna Michael Westin and Sam Axe explosively foiling the latest evil plot by drug lords and con artists. Or the sensory overload of future releases like Les Miserable and Magic Mike Army of Frankensteins and Django Unchained.
The Super Bowl is just one day, one game. That still leaves me with at least 364 popcorn and nachos events to still look forward to in the coming year.

I just found out about this Dad 2.0 summit and can’t wait to hear more about it and how everything went. At least I haven’t missed too many of them if this is just the 2nd one. I will be watching the big game on my old Mitsubishi that is having some issues. I have to crank the settings down low (contrast, etc) in order to even watch it. Anyway, good luck with the summit!
