RECIPES FOR BUSY DADS: FRESH TAKE HITS THE ROAD

 Ever feel like you’re missing out while someone else has all the fun? Well, to make sure everyone has a chance to give Fresh Take a try, my friends at Kraft are touring the country and coming to a shopping center near you as part of the Fresh Possibilities Tour. It’s not that I’m not enjoying plenty of Fresh Take here at home, but you know how I enjoy a good road trip.

Luckily they publish updates regularly with pictures of all the fun and even include a map of which flavors each stop prefers. Check out the tour schedule to see when they’ll be in your town.

Meanwhile, back in the kitchen…I have a fridge full of Fresh Take and other Kraft products (yes, that is an actual photo). With the new flavors that just came out I’ve really expanded my repertoire (that’s French for waistline). In fact, my problem is no longer that I have too few options, but rather too many options! Not a bad problem to have I suppose, right?

Of the nine Fresh Take varieties, our favorite is definitely Spicy Chipotle Cheddar. This week. At this point we’ve tried them all, and it seems like the one we like the best is usually whatever flavor happens to be sitting in front of us. In other words, we’ve narrowed our favorite down to nine.

This week I tried the Crispy Chicken Tacos recipe. Somehow I think I must have veered off-recipe because mine didn’t end up looking like the ones in the picture. But that didn’t take away from the flavor. They were delicious, and the only reason I ended up sharing was because the kids caught me making them.

I also made Chicken Parmesan again this week, but this time with one arm tied behind my back. It tasted just as good as when I used both hands (it’s that easy). Next up is the Cheesy Chicken Skewers, and I’ll be preparing them on the grill.
