Father’s Day Gift Ideas For The Dad Who Deserves It All
As I reflected this morning on Father’s Days past, I decided that this year will be different. This year when the wife asks what I want, I’ll have a list ready. Not that I expect to receive a single thing on the list–some of them are expensive–but at least I can say I asked for something, and I’ll have it in writing.
So without further ado, and in no particular order, please enjoy the Dadventurous.com 2010 List of Father’s Day Gift Suggestions.
1. Seats From the Old Yankee Stadium Price: $1,499.99
I’ve found that there are two types of people in the world, Yankee Lovers and Yankee Haters. Obviously, I count myself among the former of the two groups and would therefore consider this to be a simply amazing Father’s Day gift. And for the haters, don’t worry, they’ve got your stadium or team too. For those with smaller budgets (read: me) you can also find jewelry and nick knacks made from authentic remnants of your favorite stadium.
2. Self-Setting Wall Projection Clock Price: $19.99
There’s really only one thing better than seeing the time projected in massive 12-inch numbers onto your bedroom wall, and that thing is watching your wife’s horrified reaction the first time she sees the time projected in massive 12-inch numbers onto your bedroom wall. This gift oozes with cool and is off the charts in the crucial area of annoying your wife. For those who also like to stay up to date on the weather, you might consider the La Crosse Wireless Weather Station.
3. Crocs Trailbreak Exo-Frame Outdoor Clog Price: $50.00
Two years ago if you’d accused me of wearing a pair of Crocs I might have slapped you in the face. Well that was then, and this is now. Through the grace of the foot gods I received a free pair of the “ugly shoes” and my feet have never been the same. Not only that, but Crocs aren’t even as bad looking as they used to be, they don’t cost much, and they last a long time! So let’s add this up… affordable + comfortable + durable = …I’ll let you do the math.
As a side note, even though fellow Yankees fan and social media guru George Smith is no longer leading the brand’s social media charge, you can bet his feet are comfortably covered in Crocs clogs.
4. Zipit Blister Pack/Clamshell Opener Price: $14.95
I’ll be honest, it’s not so much that I want one of these devices as much as I’d like to take a moment to declare my utter HATRED and DISGUST of the type of packaging this contraption is meant to defeat. To be fair, I completely understand the purpose of the packaging from both a loss prevention and a marketing perspective. But I must say that as a consumer, by the time I’ve ultimately carved, whittled, and cut my way through to whatever it is I’m trying to get to I am usually so red in the face that I want nothing to do with the product or store I purchased it from. Being a man of solutions however, I’ve decided that in the off chance I’m elected President of the United States, the first thing I will do is outlaw blister pack/clamshell packaging. Vote for me in 2012.
5. Able Planet True Fidelity Active Noise Canceling Headphones Price: $64.99
If that secluded cabin in the woods is still a few years from being reality (as it is in my case), noise canceling headphones are the perfect stopgap. Yes, the kids still cry, the dishwasher still squeaks, and the phone still rings, but when you put the noise canceling headphones on it all goes away. Like a giant mute button from heaven. Just like magic.
The Bose QuietComfort 15 Noise Cancelling Headphones are the top of the line in this category, but I have been very pleased with the performance of my pair by Able Planet True Fidelity.
6. Radio Control Tarantula Price: $16.99
I should start by saying this right up front–I am NOT a fan of spiders–especially big ones. But I do like things that are radio controlled, and I definitely fancy myself a practical joker. So thinking back to my probably mis-remembered philosophy of Immanuel Kant I must disregard my fear of spiders and consider the greater good for the greater number of people. What could be more Utilitarian than a practical joke? So many people get to laugh, and only one person has to get frightened. I just hope it’s not me.
7. Kodak Pulse 7-Inch Digital Frame Price: $113.33
It won’t be long before these things are a standard part of every home. Seriously. But don’t I get tired of watching the same old photos rotate over and over again? Nope, because whenever I take new photos I simply push the EasyShare button on my Kodak digital camera and the new pictures are automatically uploaded to the digital frame. But wait, there’s more! My friends and family are able to send photos to the digital frame as well by simply emailing their photos to the digital frame’s custom email address. How cool is that? Pretty cool.
8. What If There Were No Dads?: A Gift Book for Dads and Those Who Wish to Celebrate Them Price: $12.99
I’ve never read this book, but its premise sends shivers down my spine. No dads?! That would mean no Dr. Cliff Huxtable, Homer Simpson, or Charles Ingalls. What about George Washington, Martin Luther King, Jr., and John Glenn? And what about my dad? This book comes highly recommended. Let’s just hope it answers the question, because a world without dads is a world I wouldn’t want to live in.
9. iGo Charge Anywhere Universal Power Extender Price: $40.46
This thing is awesome. I use it as the regular charger for my devices when I’m near an outlet. When plugged into the wall, and while charging my phone, the internal battery of the iGo recharges as well and is ready to provide back-up power or even continue charging my device after I unplug from the wall. The best part is that it fits iPhones, iPods, cameras, and anything else with a USB charging cable. In fact, it has two (two!) USB ports so I can charge two devices at the same time. Double the pleasure, double the fun!
10. I Love You Dad Lighted Cube Price: $4.97
There comes a time when you just have to hand it to the marketing gurus over there in product development. I am often one of their harshest critics when it comes to how they come up with product names. I’m often left scratching my head at what possibly could have inspired a name. But this time they’ve pretty much nailed it. It’s a cube. It’s lighted. It says “I Love You Dad.” The name says it all.
Batteries not included.

An fascinating concept this. I’m 1 of those men and women whom tend to wait for things to mature prior to taking action but in this case I’m mindful that inaction leads to only failures so I will heed your comments and begin to do anything about it.
Some time ago, I needed to buy a good car for my business but I did not earn enough money and could not order anything. Thank God my fellow proposed to get the loan from trustworthy creditors. Therefore, I did that and used to be happy with my short term loan.
You you could edit the page title Father’s Day Gift Ideas For The Dad Who Deserves It All | Dadventurous to something more suited for your content you write. I liked the post all the same.
